Children’s Chorus adds Thursday performance for "SHOWTIME 2008"

Due to demand for tickets, the Pensacola Children's Chorus has added a Thursday performance for "SHOWTIME 2008." Performances are now Thursday, Friday & Saturday, May 15-17, at 7:30 p.m. at the National Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola NAS.

Tickets are on sale now and are priced are $29.00, $27.00, $23.00 & $21.00 (purchases subject to service charges) and can be purchased by going to www.pensacolachildrenschorus.com and clicking on "Buy Tickets Now." Tickets can also be purchased by calling 1-866-811-4111 (toll free).

"SHOWTIME 2008" is a fully staged production by ages 8 – 18 of the Pensacola Children's Chorus. This year's theme is "Flying High on America" and the backdrop of the Navy Museum will provide a dramatic setting.

Directed by Allen and Susan Pote, "SHOWTIME 2008" will feature a variety of music, spectacular costumes and lively choreography. Included in the program will be a salute to our nation's military veterans; a guest appearance by Children's Chorus alumnus and Aspirion recording artist, Will Hedgecock; a Patriotic Medley; music of Broadway, including "Oliver," "Aida" and "Footloose"; music from the movie "Top Gun"; a Swing Set; and much more.

Over 300 performers, comprising seven choirs, will entertain in this fast paced delightful evening of music.

"SHOWTIME 2008" features colorful costumes designed by LaRaye Ryan; choreography by Debbie Denes, Michael Dennis and guest choreographer Karen Hebert; and lighting by Lance Brannon. Marian Bryan is the production coordinator.
