Festival Choirs
The Festival Choirs consist primarily of children in grades four and five. Over 40 area schools are represented among the more than 100 members of the 2007-2008 Festival Alleluia and Festival Jubilate Choirs.

The Festival Choirs’ repertoire includes classical literature as well as contemporary music and folk songs from around the world. Members sing in a variety of languages and also work with a choreographer in preparation for the "Christmas on the Coast" and "SHOWTIME" performances held each year in the historic Saenger Theatre in downtown Pensacola.
The children also sing in a choral concert featuring sacred and classical selections presented each year by the Pensacola Children's Chorus. This event has provided them with an opportunity to work with renowned guest conductors, including Anton Armstrong, Conductor of the famed St. Olaf Choir; Henry Leck, Founder and Artistic Director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir; and Andre Thomas, Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Choral Music Education at Florida State University.
The Festival Choirs participate in a variety of community functions - including outdoor concerts, patriotic events, and seasonal activities - and also collaborate with other area arts organizations such as Pensacola Opera, the Choral Society of Pensacola, and the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra.
The majority of the members take part in an annual spring tour, which takes the Festival Choirs to a location in the Southeastern United States where they perform in schools, churches, and other public venues. Members also have the opportunity to participate in summer musical theater workshops sponsored by the Pensacola Children's Chorus.
