Submitted photo When the National Modeling and Simulation Coalition convenes in Washington, D.C., next week, it will feature some of the brightest visionaries in manufacturing, defense, education, energy, medicine and healthcare.

They will gather at the L’Enfant Hotel to formulate an action plan to broaden the depth of modeling and simulation in technology and industry.

The meeting also will command the best and brightest in entertainment. By special invitation, members of the Pensacola Children’s Chorus will be the featured entertainment for the event. Organizers of the Coalition have asked the 42 high school entertainers, known as the Young Singers, to open the two-day event with a patriotic musical celebration. It promises to be a fitting prelude to the introduction of the Congressional Caucus and the Keynote Address by Aneesh Chopra, the nation’s Chief Technology Officer.

Sponsors and speakers attending the pre-convention reception will be treated to a Broadwaystyle spectacular of musical hits, including Rhythm Rhapsody and selections of Andrew Lloyd Weber. Outfitted by award-winning costumer, LaRaye Ryan, with dance routines by celebrated choreographer Michael Dennis, the group will share the pizzazz and magic that has become associated with the Pensacola Children’s Chorus.

Eight members of the elite group are Gulf Breeze residents and look forward to representing the community before the diverse group of national leaders. Jessica Brosofsky, Madison Baer, Alexis Denny, Sydney Royer, Jake Villareal and Anamarie Wright all attend Gulf Breeze High School.

Less Bressler is a Navarre High School student, and Tommy Vassiliades attends the International Baccalaureate Program at Pensacola High School.

The group will tour the U.S. Capitol and the White House during their stay.

Founding chorus directors are Susan and Allen Pote. Nationally recognized as accomplished musicians and teachers, the Potes recently were awarded the George Washington Honor from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.


The Pensacola Children’s Chorus has produced Broadway leads, movie and television actresses, recording artists and opera stars. During its 21-yearhistory, Gulf Breeze talent has always been a major part of the group.
